Twitter’s Beginning

If you’ve ever wondered about the origins of Twitter, look no further. Twitter’s founders are Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Jack Dorsey, who got their start working on other projects before venturing to create Twitter itself. Twitter started off as messaging service that was incorporated with the video blogging service Odeo, and Stone named the service after the chirping of birds because he likened it to the short information exchange that Twitter offered. As Twitter grew in importance to the company, Stone and Williams decided to make it their primary goal and with Dorsey on the team it became Twitter inc.

If this doesn’t give you small business owners out there some hope, that the “little business that could” Twitter inc. managed to take off and become one of the most popular social media sites out there today, then nothing will. Stay tuned for more social media marketing strategies and tips!
